Each year, CAUT and its member associations join with a coalition of unions and activists across North America to organize a week-long series of events for Fair Employment Week (FEW). These events aim to raise awareness about the overuse and exploitation of Contract Academic Staff.

Monday, October 27, Sackville, 3:30 pm @ Mount Allison Campus, University Club: Mount Allison Faculty Association (MAFA) will host a presentation by CAUT President Robin Vose. Reception afterwards in honour of CAS members. All members are welcome.

Monday, October 27, Saint John, 4pm @ UNBSJ Campus, Whitebone Lounge: AUNBT’s CAE committee is hosting a wine and cheese with a short round of updates on the CA and evaluations.

Tuesday, October 28, Fredericton, 12:00 pm @ UNBF/STU Campus, Forestry/Geology 202: FNBFA forum – luncheon, sponsored by CAUT. Chair: Jean Sauvageau, president FNBFA. Presentation from CAUT president Robin Vose: “What is fair about Contract Academic Employment?”

Friday, October 31,12:00 pm – 1:30 pm Fredericton @ STU Campus: President Russell will be hosting a luncheon for Part-Time faculty.

Friday, October 31, Fredericton 3:00 @UNBF Campus, Tilley Hall, R.28: AUNBT’s CAE committee is hosting a wine and cheese with a short round of updates on the CA and evaluations.
