Notice of Election

Election of members to the AUNBT Executive Committee will take place at the Association’s Annual General Meeting on

Tuesday, April 30, 2013 @ 10:00 am
via video-conference
Saint John Hazen Hall 239
Fredericton Kent Auditorium, Wu Conference Centre

Only one nomination was received for the office of president:

Miriam Jones (Humanities & Languages)

As the only nominee received, she will be declared elected.

Jula Hughes (Law) will serve as past president.

For Group I (full-time) members on the Fredericton campus, the Nominating Committee presents the following thirteen candidates for the ten vacant positions on the Executive Committee:

David Bell (Law)
Bruce Broster (Geology)
Juan Carretero (Mechanical Engineering)
Dorothy Duplessis (Business Administration)
Brian Lowry (Chemical Engineering)
Charlene Mayes (Biology)
Allan Reid (Culture & Language Studies)
Wendy Robbins (English)
Alyssa Sankey (Math & Statistics)
Edie Snook (English)
Merle Steeves (UNB Libraries)
Lloyd Waugh (Civil Engineering)
Melanie Wiber (Anthropology)

For Group 2 (part-time) members on the Fredericton campus, the Nominating Committee presents the following two candidates for the two vacant positions on the Executive Committee:

Wendy Bourque (Psychology)
Arthur James (Classics)

As the only nominations received, they will be declared elected.

For Group I (full-time) members on the Saint John campus, the Nominating Committee presents the following three candidates for the four vacant positions on the Executive
Committee:

Greg Fleet (Business)
Jeff Houlahan (Biology)
Lucy Wilson (Biology)

As the only nominations received, they will be declared elected.

For Group 2 (part-time) members on the Saint John campus, the Nominating Committee presents the following candidate for the one vacant position on the Executive Committee:

Jeff McNally (Computer Sc. & Applied Stats)

As the only nomination received, he will be declared elected.

AUNBT’s constitution provides that the new Executive Committee takes office on 15 May 2013.
